Well i guess the first tip i would use is that WV is a very hard project but it only took me about 4 days in the summer, working all through out the day (3pm-10pm) to do. 2 of those days were doing the hat/head and 1 one for the poncho/dress, and one day for touch ups and such. Also money wise, it’s super cheap. I think i only spent about 30$ on the entire cosplay, fabric, hood, gloves, and stockings included.

It probably is able to be done with hand sewing, the dress and poncho would be tedious but could be done.
WV was the first project I did from scratch also the first thing i did with my sewing machine. I first cut out my dress and poncho from what I think was like 5 yards, it might of been 6 but i would always suggest getting more fabric than what it says. I made the hat from the leftover fabric from cutting out the dress/poncho. It looked like this

then i wrapped it around my head until it looked right. Then I pinned it and sewed it in place. I did a lot of hand sewing on the head piece just because there was a lot of layers that the sewing machine couldn’t get to, also because I work better with hand and not machine.
You could defiantly do hand sewing for this project, but I would give yourself more time than just a week so you don’t pull your hair out. Also I will plug this again, i didn’t use a zentai suit because it’s pretty expensive, i just used a hood and it worked perfectly. i would suggest sewing the eyes on your eyebrows and pulling the mask down a bit.
I wish you luck on your cosplay and I hope i helped, i’m really not that good at explaining things but hopefully you got some use out of this. Also this isn’t the only way to do it, I would also suggest getting help from other WV cosplayers because my way worked for me but it’s also hard to explain. If it’s in the summer then you can totally do it dude! Good luck!!
